Empowering Women to Rest and Re-create
As a psychologist, minister, and clergy person, I believe in the power of restoring the unity of spirit, mind, and body. I founded Rest and Re-create alongside Dr. Stephanie Z. Reed with the vision of creating healing spaces specifically for Black women and women of color.
Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of rest and re-creation in transforming lives. With a heart to serve and a deep commitment to the well-being of women of color, I work to create environments that nurture and empower women on their journey to self-discovery and holistic wellness.
Rest and Re-create is our way of offering a sanctuary where women can pause, reflect, and restore their energy, knowing that they are seen, heard, and celebrated.

Revealing the science behind Rest and Re-create
As an epidemiologist, health equity researcher, and owner of a busy consulting practice, I understand how chronic stress can affect our bodies, leading to issues like cardiovascular diseases, mental health disorders, and autoimmune conditions. My own multiple sclerosis diagnosis has highlighted the crucial role of rest in regaining and maintaining my personal health and wellness.
Drawing from my journey, I am passionate about encouraging women to make rest a priority. In today's demanding world, taking time to rest and prioritize our health is vital for healing and well-being. Rest and Re-create provides a space where you can give yourself permission to rest, reflect and reorient yourself to a path of better health and wellness.
